Help with · Holistic and alternative therapy

Holistic Therapy for the Whole of You.

Not a symptom in isolation. The breath, the body and the nervous system, taken together, and three gentle therapies that work beautifully alongside each other.

What holistic means here

Working With the Whole of You.

Holistic therapy takes the whole person as the starting point: how you breathe, how you sleep, what you carry, how your body holds it. It is somatic work, which simply means it works through the body (breath, movement and touch) rather than through conversation. My three therapies are all gentle, all body led, and all aimed at the same thing: helping your nervous system move out of fight or flight and towards a sense of safety, which is where change can begin.

I am not a chiropractor, osteopath, physiotherapist, counsellor or doctor. What I offer is a complementary route for people who want to work with the body, alongside whatever medical care they need.

The three, together

Breathe, Move, Flow: Three Ways That Work Well Together.

Breathwork is an active practice that many people find leaves them feeling released and clear headed. Tremor therapy uses natural shaking to help the body release held tension. Spinal Flow Technique® uses light touch along the spine to restore flow and allow the nervous system to settle. On their own each offers something different; together they cover a lot of ground.

Many people start with one and end up flowing between two or all three of my modalities… you are welcome to contact me personally to discuss your own situation and circumstances in order for me to best advise you.

Not like reiki, not like counselling

What It Is, and What It Is Not.

People ask whether Spinal Flow is like reiki: no. It is hands on, but it is light physical contact at specific points along the spine, and it is not energy work at a distance. They ask whether breathwork is like meditation: it is active and physical first; the stillness and meditation come at the end. They ask whether any of it is like counselling: it is different. Nobody has to talk, and many people say that is what made it easier.

Still not sure where to begin? Get in touch and we will talk it through.

Questions people ask

Questions People AskAbout This.

Straight answers, in my own words. If yours is not here, message me and I will answer it myself.

Is holistic therapy the same as alternative therapy?

They overlap. Holistic means the whole person is the starting point; alternative or complementary means it sits alongside conventional medicine rather than replacing it. My work is both, and I keep your GP in the picture where it matters.

Is Spinal Flow like reiki?

No. Spinal Flow is light physical contact at specific access points along the spine, based in chiropractic science, with a posture assessment and photos. Reiki is energy work, usually without contact. People do sometimes describe the feeling of a Spinal Flow session in similar words.

Can I combine breathwork, tremor therapy and Spinal Flow?

Yes. Many people do, as they support each other well. Spinal Flow can help you settle, breathwork can help you feel and release, and tremor therapy gives you a tool you can use at home to unwind and let go of tension and stress. I will help you plan a combination that makes sense for you.

What is the difference between breathwork, tremor therapy and Spinal Flow, and which one is right for me?

All three work with your nervous system, in different ways. Conscious connected breathwork uses a guided breathing pattern to release stress and emotion. Tremor therapy uses simple exercises to switch on your body's natural shaking response and release deep muscular tension. Spinal Flow is a very gentle, hands on technique that releases stored stress along the spine and nervous system. Not sure where to start? Get in touch and I will help you choose.

I like approaches that are rooted in science. Is this for me?

Yes. Breathwork, tremor therapy and Spinal Flow all work with the nervous system and your body's natural stress response. There is a growing body of research on breathwork and on the body's tremor response, and Spinal Flow was developed by a former chiropractor from an understanding of how the nervous system holds stress. I am always happy to explain the why behind what we are doing.

Not Sure Which? Ask Me.

A short message is enough. I answer everything myself, usually the same day, and I will tell you honestly which session fits.
