Projects and organisations

Breathwork for Recovery Projects, Teams and Workplaces.

Weekly sessions in addiction recovery for two and a half years, workshops for companies and entrepreneurs, sports teams, gyms, retreats and events. Day rates agreed in advance, nobody has to talk.

Recovery projects

Breathwork in Addiction Recovery.Every Week, for Two and a Half Years.

For two and a half years I have run weekly breathwork sessions with two addiction recovery projects in Coventry. It is the work I am proudest of, and I would like to do more of it.

Regular sessions work best in recovery: the same faces and a room that gets to know the breath, and someone who turns up when I say I will. Everything is explained on the day, nobody has to have done anything like it before, and nobody has to talk.

Whether you are looking for a fixed monthly slot so it becomes part of the rhythm of your project, a one off talk or session, or something flexible and ad hoc, you can get in touch here to discuss your requirements.

Who I work with

Beyond the Studio,Wherever People Need to Breathe.

Better breathing, calmer nervous systems. The way we breathe shapes how we think, feel and perform. Through talks, breathwork sessions and coaching, I help teams and individuals understand their breath and use it to support body, mind and emotions.

Recovery From Drug and Alcohol Addiction

Weekly sessions with two recovery projects in Coventry for two and a half years: the same faces, a room that gets to know the breath, and nobody has to talk.

How it helps

Recovery, Including Addiction Recovery

  • Helping the body's stress response settle, to support sleep, energy and rest.
  • The breath as a free, portable tool to reach for in difficult moments.
  • A guided, safe space to release the guilt, grief, anger or numbness that can sit underneath.
  • Rebuilding trust in the body, and confidence in managing your own emotions.

Sports Teams, Athletes, Gyms and Fitness Studios

A quiet room, mats on the floor, and people who came in wired going home calm. I played volleyball for England and Great Britain, so I know what a season asks of a body.

How it helps

Athletes and Sports Teams

  • A more efficient breath under effort, supporting stamina and recovery.
  • Steadier nerves and sharper focus when the pressure is on.
  • A way to let go of frustration and setbacks, supporting confidence, resilience and team connection.
  • A calmer body after training and matches, to support sleep and repair.

Businesses, Entrepreneurs, Charities, Organisations, Events and Retreats

A single workshop, a short series, or a talk on the breath and the nervous system with a session built in. I have showcased breathwork at events and run sessions for entrepreneurs and their teams.

How it helps

Businesses and Organisations

  • Clearer thinking and better focus between meetings, deadlines and decisions.
  • Practical tools for managing stress before it builds into burnout.
  • Steadier energy through the day, and a way to ease the neck, shoulder and jaw tension of desk work.
  • Calmer communication through conflict and change, in sessions that fit easily into the working day.

Breathwork complements, and does not replace, medical care, therapy or recovery programmes. Some styles, including conscious connected breathwork, are not suitable for everyone, so suitability is always checked first and sessions are adapted to the group.

Day rates are agreed in advance. Talk to me about a session.

What a session looks like

The Beginning, the Middle and the End.

Tap a stage, drag the slider, or just wait.

Mats Out, Lights Low, Nothing to Keep Up With.

Your preparation message landed on WhatsApp yesterday. The room is ready and the lights are low. I explain the technique and what might come up, and answer anything you want to ask. Hoodie, socks, eye mask if you have one.

Music Up. Mind Off. You Breathe at Your Own Pace.

House music to begin, mellowing as you go. The mind gets noisy and fights to stay in control, then it lets go. Tingly hands, a light head, sometimes tears. I coach you through the whole way and you are in control at all times.

The Music Softens and You Land in a Meditation.

Then refreshments, a chat if you would like to, and then home. Most people leave lighter than they came in, and many people find they sleep beautifully after a session.

Practicalities

What I Need From You.

  1. 1

    A Room

Quiet, warm, big enough for everyone to lie down with an arm's length between them. A hall, a gym studio, a meeting room with the tables pushed back.

  2. 2

    Two Hours

Two hours for a single session, longer for a workshop with a talk built in. All the equipment is provided: mats, music and eye masks.

  3. 3

    Consent Forms

Everyone reads and signs a short form before their first session, and I will ask about health conditions in advance. Enhanced DBS checked and insured.

Tell Me About Your Project. I Will Reply Personally.

A few lines about who you are, how many people and where you are based is enough to start. Day rates are agreed in advance.

Questions people ask

Questions From Organisations.

Straight answers, in my own words. If yours is not here, message me and I will answer it myself.

Do people have to talk in a session?

No. I explain everything, people lie down and breathe, and nobody has to say anything or share anything. That is often why it works in recovery and in workplaces.

How many people can a session take?

From a handful upwards. The limit is the room: everyone needs space to lie down with an arm's length between them.

What does a session cost for an organisation?

Day rates are agreed in advance and depend on the length, the group size and the travel. Tell me what you have in mind and I will quote.
